Birch Bark

Behind the Birch Bark

BY : Wise Team

Take a walk through the trees in the nearest forest. Do you know which vitamin-rich natural men’s care ingredients might surround you?

If you strolled through the boreal forest of Saguenay, Quebec, Canada, you would find the birch bark we use in our shampoos. What is a boreal forest? It’s in the Northern part of the province, and contains forest tundra, open woodland and closed forest. The boreal forest is teeming with biodiversity …and teeming with hair health benefits.

Birch bark has been in shampoos since the 19th century, and for good reason: nature stores vitamins in the bark that contribute to the overall health of hair.

Vitamin C builds collagen and boosts hair growth as it thickens and strengthens hair fibres.

Lupeol Betulinic Acid helps to reduce hair loss, improve keratin absorption, reduce inflammation and inhibit bacterial growth.

To ensure sustainability, we only use bark generated from the Canadian forest industry.
